Purpose: One of the important issues in dealing with immigrant students is improving cultural adaptation. Therefore, the aim of this study was to analyzing the drivers of improving cultural adaptation in dealing with immigrant students through education.
Methodology: This study in terms of purpose was applied and in terms of implementation method was mixed (qualitative and quantitative). The study population in both parts were managers and teachers who were familiar with the research field which 18 people of them according to the principle of theoretical saturation were selected as a sample with the purposive sampling method. The research tool was a review of resources, semi-structured interview and a researcher-made questionnaire, which first the experts were interviewed and then 15 people of them who declared their readiness checked the importance of the extracted drivers. In this study, the to identify the drivers for improving cultural adaptation in dealing with immigrant students through education was used the coding method, to know the key drivers was used the significance and uncertainty method and to know the effectiveness of the drivers was used the structural analysis method in Micmac software.
Findings: The findings showed that the most important drivers of improving cultural adaptation in dealing with immigrant students through training, respectively were included the training to managers about how to interact with immigrant students, training to teachers in short-term courses, training to all students for how to interact with immigrant students, training to parents for how to teach the principles of communication with different cultures, training to teachers by school managers, training to school managers in short-term courses, training to managers about how to deal with errant teachers, training to immigrant students to deal with the behavior of other students, training to teachers in in-service courses, training to teachers in the form of brochures and training to immigrant parents for strengthen their children's communication skills. Also, the effectiveness rate of drivers of training to parents for how to teach the principles of communication with different cultures, training to managers about how to interact with immigrant students, training to managers about how to deal with errant teachers, training to immigrant parents for strengthen their children's communication skills, training to all students for how to interact with immigrant students, training to teachers in short-term courses, training to teachers in in-service courses, training to teachers by school managers, training to school managers in short-term courses, training to teachers in the form of brochures and training to immigrant students to deal with the behavior of other students was higher, respectively.
Conclusion: Cultural experts and planners of the country to improve cultural adaptation in dealing with immigrant students through education can use the identified drivers in the current research with considering their importance and effectiveness.
