Abstract
The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of group therapy based on acceptance and commitment and quality of life on cognitive fusion, quality of life and anxiety in students with diabetes. This research was a semi experimental study with pretest, posttest and follow up with control group. The statistical population of this study was all students with diabetes mellitus in Zahedan. The sample consisted of 45 subjects selected through available sampling method and randomly divided into three experimental groups: 1 (15) and experimental group 2 (15 persons) And control (15 people). The questionnaires that were used to collect information from the sample group were Gilandres et al. (2014) Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire (2014), Reynolder and Richmond Children's Repeated Anxiety Scale (1978) and Quality of Life Questionnaire for Adolescents with Diabetes. For analyzing the data, multivariate analysis of covariance was performed using SPSS software. The results showed that the treatment group based on acceptance and commitment and quality of life in comparison with the control group improved fusion, quality of life and anxiety (P <0.05). Also, there was a significant difference between the efficacy of group therapy based on acceptance and commitment in comparison with quality of life in fusion and quality of life (P <0.05). In the fusion variable, the group therapy based on acceptance and commitment to the quality of life group was more effective and in the quality of life variable, the quality of life group was more effective than the treatment group based on acceptance and commitment. There was no significant difference between the efficacy of the treatment group based on acceptance and commitment in comparison with the quality of life in anxiety (P> 0.05). In addition, the results showed that the effect of quality of life on the faults was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). These results are ongoing in the follow-up phase. Therefore, a group of treatment based on admission and commitment and quality of life is an effective method in cognitive fusion, quality of life, and anxiety in students with diabetes.
